I have always been an illustrator. And I have always loved children’s illustration. Ever since I was little I have been asked to illustrate student magazines, friends birthday presents, or even to illustrate and create a menu for local restaurant Ty Pot in Carantec, which was hailed by popular french women’s fashion magazine, Marie Claire.

In 2012 I was approached by Paris based MaCocoBox creator and company owner, Coralie Poidatz, to illustrate and brand her startup. I then proceeded to illustrate a postcard of her main character, Coco the octopus in different scenarios to accompany her activity boxes that she would send to customers every month. It was such a success that I was then asked by Coralie to provide weekly pictures in which children could doodle, these became known as the Gribouillis du vendredi (friday doodles) and were free to download from the MaCocoBox website. You can find these here.

Whilst working at Hoopers luxury department store I made use of my talent to illustrate one of the windows I designed in 2015. You can find more information and some images in my portfolio section Window displays. It was fantastic to see my intricate illustrations of flowers blown up to such a huge scale and create such a massive impact!

Since then I have been approached by several publishers to illustrate children’s book including BOP Publishing, a London startup, and Les Puces, an early years French classes school based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, who has commissioned me to illustrate four books in the next few months.

The past few months I have also been working on a project called #AEK in which a collective of artists draw a picture a day and post it on Instagram in order to create a momentum and be continually working on our art practice. It has been a revelatory and absolutely amazing experience! If you would like more information on this please go to www.instagram.com/agatha_draws

I am always looking for more projects to work on, please contact me if you have an exciting idea that you would like illustrating.
